I love listening to podcasts, so much so I started a podcast! Every day when I take Monty for his daily stroll, I choose a podcast episode based on how much time I have to walk around the park,
Here are my go-to’s:
Jess’s podcast was the first podcast I ever listened to, I can’t even remember how I found out about it, but it was the only one I had in my podcast app and the only one I subscribed to and listened to religiously.
Each week Jess’s podcast is "designed to uplift, inspire, add a little extra intention to your every day". Episodes touch on various aspects of our lives including possessions, personal habits, relationships, and career. Entrepreneurship and online business also appear from time to time.
Following her "Lively Adventure" as she packed up her bags (and troubles) after a split with Mr Lively and travelled around Europe have been my favourite episodes, but there are 230+ episodes for you to binge on!
Ever wondered where the idea for Instagram came from? What about Kate Spade or Virgin? This is THE podcast for you, hear straight from the people behind household names.
Obviously, the episode with Instagram's, Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger is my favourite, closely followed by Virgin's, Richard Branson.
All business this one, "A no-holds-barred, uncensored look at the stories breaking the news and the markets across the globe." City AM Unregulated covers current affairs and topics in under thirty minutes, the perfect lunchtime/commute/dog walk listening. One of my favourite recent episodes is "What Can You Learn About Entrepreneurship From a Toddler?" with Paul Lindley founder of Ella's Kitchen. I've just bought his book "Little Wins" and will be sure to review soon.
As a YouTube fan and having followed Anna and Lily's blogs and YouTube channels for the last 5 or so years I was so excited that they have launched a podcast together. Each week they visit the home of influential business women. They talk about fashion and beauty, their homes, their family lives and their businesses. Addictive listening and preferably watched on the aCast app so you can view the photos. The episode with Georgie Cleeve, founder of OSKIA Skincare is my favourite.
5. Being Boss
Being Boss comes up time and time again as a go-to for fellow entrepreneurs, and there is a good reason, it's brilliant! No fluff, no bullsh*t. Being Boss is ideal for those thinking about starting their business journey or even those already a way down the path. There are minisodes and hour long episodes, so you can indulge as much or as little as you like. I dare you to just listen to one!
I can't list my podcast in my favourites, but it IS pretty good (so I am told). Season One has just finished, and there are ten episodes, eight of which feature a guest sharing their career journey and how they came to start their own business. The opening episode is my journey and why I started Social Mouth. I'd love to hear what you think and I am currently accepting nominations for new guests, head here to submit yourself or nominate someone else.
My friend Helena, who has also featured on The Small and Mighty Podcast has recently launched her own. Helena is a serial entrepreneur and seriously smart woman. Each week Helena is intending to share her knowledge around financial mindset and entrepreneurship. She is my go-to for business advice so definitely one to add to your subscriptions - I can't wait to hear more episodes!
